INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!
4 Inspirational Women You Should Know
March 8th, International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate the achievements of
women and to accelerate women’s equality. This year the theme is Choose to
Challenge, a statement that rings true more and more everyday as women all
around the world are banding together, using their voice and no longer hiding
behind what society has told them to be and do for so many centuries. This is
becoming increasingly apparent as more and more women are out there
becoming CEO’s, founding amazing companies and winning prestigious awards
in fields they may never have had the chance to work in years ago.
This International Women’s Day we want to celebrate women that inspire us
here at BLAEK Store. Their passion and dedication for people and planet are
what drives us to do better everyday.

Frankie Layton
Founder and CEO, The Dirt Company
A true eco warrior Frankie had a fire burning inside her to be a change maker
and have a positive impact on the world, after a trip to the supermarket she
noticed there was no eco friendly or sustainable options in the home cleaning
isle. From that moment Frankie set out to change laundry detergent for good.
After two years of gruelling product development, Dirt was born. Dirt laundry
detergent is an environmentally friendly concentrated detergent in a refillable
pump bottle. Frankie Chooses to Challenge what we know about laundry
products, she has educated us around the harsh ingredients in supermarket
brands and also the amount of plastic waste in each bottle. Frankie’s passion for
people and the planet shines through her work and the evolution of The Dirt
Company over the years has been inspiring, we can’t wait to see what Frankie
does next. To learn more about The Dirt Company check out our episode of
BLAEK Chats, to try Dirt for your self click HERE.
This International Women’s Day we celebrate those giving a voice to people and
planet. The fire in our hearts is burning strong, there are no limits, we choose to
challenge.
